Let’s cut to the chase — it’s time to ride! We’ve got a great weather outlook for Tuesday and the perfect opportunity for our favorite “sunset” spin, the High Drive trail out-and-back from Polly Judd Park. Actually, we might see some storms roll in tonight which will help cut down some of the dust and maybe even leave the trails a bit tacky for our riding pleasure. And if that’s not enough, we look forward to welcoming one of our original founding members, Melinda (Mel), on one of her summer visits to Spokane! So I say let’s enjoy the ride, gawk at the scenery, soak in the fellowship, and hang out at The Scoop for a while afterward! Invite your friends — the ice cream tab is on me.
Here’s the essentials:
Date/Time: Tuesday, July 10. Meet up at 5:45PM, roll out at 6, about 90 minutes maximum.
Meet at: Polly Judd Park, W. Cannon Place (South Hill). Take South Ash St to W. 14th Ave, head west, the park is at the end of the road. Park in the cul-de-sac.
The Ride: Some moderate climbing and GREAT singletrack with some open exposure, so recommended mid-level skills and conditioning. It’s about 5 miles each way and we’ll stick to the mid-level trails to avoid any heinous climbs.
Bring: Helmet (required), water, sunscreen, a full tank of energy and a passion for being outdoors!
